Williams Elegant 48 Gin, 48%
Updated: May 8, 2018
For my birthday I've asked for lots of different things over the years from designer hand-bags to Johnny Cupcakes tshirts. This year however I didn't ask for anything. At the age of 32 I can finally say I pretty much have everything in life that I could want.
My team at work surprised me when they brought me a bottle of gin from William Chase as my birthday present this year. I've never tried Elegant 48 gin before and I'm not too sure why I haven't. The bottle came in a beautiful presentation box and the bottle wore a cute bow-tie with the union jack on it.
Over the last year when I've seen posts on Elegant 48 its been about martini's. I've never made one myself so I thought I should change that.
Elegant 48 classes itself as the perfect gin for a gin-martini. Botanicals that can be found in this gin are Juniper, Coriander seeds, Angelica seeds/root, Licorice root, Orris root, Orange peel, Lemon peel, hops, Elderflower and Bramley apple.
I opted to go with the recommend serve.
1 part Vermouth, 2 parts Elegant 48 Gin. Shake all ingredients and strain into a chilled martini glass, garnish with a slice of apple.
Super excited to have this gin in my collection.
