Kalevala Distilled Gin 46.3% ABV

There is something very romantic about this just gin. If I was watching the sun set with the love of my life, this would be the gin I would want to be drinking during it.

What makes this gin romantic I hear you cry... well, after the initial notes of juniper you can taste the rose buds and raspberry leaf. Lets not forget the bottle, rose gold foil lettering makes this bottle stand out from the crowd.

The guys at Kalevala are keeping the recipe of their gins a secret. However they do let us know that all the botanicals used are organic.

When I first tried this gin I was excited to make some cocktails with it.

Kalevala Gin & Sekforde Tonic garnished with Juniper berries

Basil Smash

• 50ml Kalevala gin

• 30ml Freshly lemon juice

• 15ml Simple syrup

• Handfull of basil leaves

1. Muddle basil

2. Add all ingrediants with ice into cocktail shaker.

3. Shake away

4. Double strain into a glass with fresh ice.

5. Garnish will basil.

One rose says more then a dozen

• 50ml Kalevala gin

• 30ml Fresh lemon juice

• 20ml Elderflower liqueur

• Prosecco

1. Pour all the ingredients other then the prosecco into cocktail shaker

2. Add ice and shake hard

3. Double strain into glass

4. Top off with prosecco

Breakfast in a Glass

• 50ml Kalevala gin

• Half a grapefruit freshly squeezed.

• 20ml Honey

1. Pour honey and gin into a mixing jug.

2. stir till honey dissolves

3. stir in grapefruit juice and ice.

4. Pour into a glass with fresh ice

5. Garnish with a wedge of grapefruit.

Kalevala gin is a perfect small batch gin that should be owned by every gin fan.
