Greater Than > Indian Gin
Updated: Jun 24
We didn't invent gin, we made it greater in India.
Last year at junipalooza I was completely blown away with Hapusa gin from India. What I loved was the botanicals that were used are ones I've grown up loving in my Indian food. They went on to tell me Hapusa gins is one of the first Indian gins. Surely with all the botanicals it would only be natural to have more gins? Later that year I came across stranger and sons which I adore too. After doing se research I came across Greater Than... a gin made by the creators of Hapusa. Greater Than was their first creation. However I've never come across it in London. Now in 2019 I've added Greater Than to my collection thanks to the G&T club. Anand and Viabhav wanted to create India's first craft gin because well India is the birth place of g&ts. They wanted to create something what was 'Greater Than' It took them two years to come up with the perfect recipe for this gin. They played with every botanical they could get their hands on and in India that's a hell of a lot of botanicals. The botanicals that made the final cut are juniper, Angelica root, orris root, orange peel, coriander seeds, fennel, ginger, lemongrass and Indian camolie. Its a great solid gin to have in the collection. You can't miss the juniper in this gin!
It works great in classic cocktails like negronis, g&ts and clover clubs.
So a little info the two men who are behind the G&T club and what it is.
Christian and Konrad were enjoying a g&t at the famous Holborn Dining Rooms and they thought, wouldn't it be great if you could enjoy a great g&t at home? Have a premium gin and tonics that complement it? That's were it all started, drinks in Holborn.
So heres thier idea now available for everyone to enjoy at home.
